Armenian Dance Sport Federation

The federation was established in 1996. The presidents of the federation have been:

Aram Fahradyan (1996–2001), Martin Hovhannisyan (2001–2006), Garik Sarukhanyan (-), Aghasi Mkrtchyan (-), Gevorg Markosyan (-), Georgi Babayan (2022–2026)

The federation began its official activities in 1996. The charter was drafted by Gevorg Markosyan, then discussed by the presidency and approved by the state registry.

At the time of its establishment, 7 clubs were operating:

Matador, Rhythm, Elene and Children, Meryen, Gloria, Zvartnots, Style

Event Overview

About the Armenian Open

The Armenian Open is the premier annual international dance sport
competition hosted by ADSF in Yerevan. Athletes from across
Europe, Asia, and the CIS region compete across multiple age
groups and proficiency levels.

The competition is sanctioned by the World Dance Sport Federation (WDSF)
and follows all international adjudication standards. Results
contribute to WDSF international ranking points.

Disciplines

Our Divisions

ADSF governs three competitive divisions, each with its own structure, regulations, and championship pathway.

Latin

Cha Cha, Samba, Rumba, Paso Doble, Jive — the five Latin dances performed at the highest level of athleticism and artistry.

Rock & Roll

Acrobatic Rock’n’Roll — dynamic, athletic, and spectacular. Governed by WRRC standards with international ranking.

Breakdance

Now an Olympic sport — Breakdance (Breaking) is a core discipline of ADSF with dedicated national championship pathways.

Dance Camp

Since 2025, the Federation has been organizing monthly training camps aimed at improving the quality and athletic preparation of young dancers. Each time, seminars are conducted by various specialists. All clubs are able to participate and receive professional qualification.
